Build the capacity of children by training them to protect themselves. Educate families and communities to have zero tolerance for discrimination, abuse, neglect and exploitation of children. Engage the communities to create or strengthen child protection structures and demand child protection services by training the child protection committees. Conduct child parliament where children discuss issues that affect them and present them to relevant authorities like ADC, Members of Parliament, District assembly and District Social Welfare.

Due to poverty, long illnesses, death of parents and high illiteracy levels, many children more especially OVC are exposed to all forms of child abuses which ranges from child labour, sexual and drug abuse, to property grabbing. The situation is even worse for boys who are taken as burden with nothing to contribute in the household of the extended families where they are transferred after the death of their parents. Communities are to sensitized on the dangers of sexual abuse, child trafficking, and child labour. The Village AIDS Committees, Youth Clubs, Community AIDS Committees visits Tobacco Estates to make sure children aged below 15 are not employed in these estates.
